The tracks have been played on Radio 1, 1xtra and 6Music by Huw Stephens, Ras Kwame, Rampage and Tom Robinson.
Louise Golbey performed at the opening night of The London Jazz Festival on the 13th November at The Barbican with her full band for an hour’s set. What a night! Thanks to everyone who came and supported. Her next live show is at The Jazz Cafe on Sunday 6th December for UK Soul Jam and she’ll be performing at Ronnie Scott’s on Sunday 13th December for the Soul Family Christmas special…

As well as production from 8trak (the title track ‘How It Is’) the EP features production from Mercury Music Prize nominated producer Drew Horley including ‘Same Old, Same Old’.
Louise Golbey is currently working on a collaboration with UK Grime act Newham Generals (signed to Dizzie Rascal?s label)
Louise Golbey recently filmed a music video for her track ‘Same Old Same Old’. The video features the wonderful BBC Radio 1 DJ Ras Kwame & other special guest appearances! She was lucky enough to have the BBC Introducing team filming behind the scenes during the shoot: so watch this space for the video on YouTube and the exclusive ‘making of’ footage on the BBC website coming soon.
The track was ‘tip of the week’ on Ras Kwame’s Homegrown show on Radio 1xtra back in May along side Mercury Music Prize 2009 winner Speech Debelle which led to both artists being invited to play at Glastonbury 2009 on the BBC Introducing Stage.
